Music at Midweek: The Decemberists

Portland Month continues with a song from what is probably my favorite active band from Portland - the erudite, lyrical, storytelling Decemberists.

No band can write songs about gypsy uncles and hideaways in the Pyrenees like The Decemberists can, evoking imagery of fairy tales and obscure history and reminding you of the ancient purpose of music and ballads - to tell stories.

Also, for bonus points, my niece Natalie sang on one of their songs. Boom!
